Self-Care Calendar for Busy Moms and Women

I created a pin about 15-minute self-care strategies that are quick and effective. As of this month that infographic has been pinned over 28,000 times.

It’s shocking to me.

And what it tells me is that self-care is something many of us need help with. More specifically, we need help knowing quick, yet effective ways to take care of ourselves.

I’ll admit, I’m not always good at including self-care in my day, but I’m getting better at it. I’m making self-care a priority because I know that when I take care of myself, I’m a better person, mom, and wife. That’s important to me.

Self-care doesn’t have to take a long time, and it doesn’t have to be expensive. Yes, there are plenty of amazing ways that you can spend time and money on yourself but let’s face it, that’s not always easy or realistic.

To help you out, I’ve created a free printable one-month self-care calendar that will help you stay focused on yourself and help create the habit of regular self-care.

The activities included are meant to be quick, yet effective. When you take even a few minutes each day to focus on yourself, the effects over time are noticeable. You’ll find that on this calendar, there are activities on the weekends that might require more time (or a bit more money), so look ahead and plan for those as best you can.

You’ll notice that most of the ideas are quick, but also don’t require much “stuff.” You can improvise as well- if you don’t have one of those awesome adult coloring books, print a coloring sheet off the internet and grab some highlighters. Or if you’re a mom, find any coloring book in your house. Or, find that sparkle nail polish that belongs to your child. The idea isn’t to over think this or make excuses, but instead, commit to making time for yourself and then follow through.

  • Love this! So many of us NEED this. I think you are absolutely right that self-care needs to be a deliberate habit AND a priority. For those of us who are crazy busy, it truly needs to be scheduled. I get up super early to get in a full 90 minute miracle morning and it’s literally been life-changing. If I don’t do it, my whole family notices. Meditation, Yoga, and my bullet journal are my favorites. I love this idea for moms who need to find a few minutes to themselves!

    • Thanks so much, Brooke!! That’s awesome that you take that time for yourself on a regular basis and I’m not surprised that the family notices if you don’t. That’s great awareness by all, and probably helps everyone make it a priority for you!

  • Awesome! I was looking for something like this to help me create a self-care plan. This is so great! I am sharing with my readers too about your calendar 🙂
